Ergonomic Value

Adjustable Articulating Keyboard Systems are designed to meet the needs of differing physical requirements, job functions and work styles.

Ergonomic Value Keyboard System

Provides an inexpensive desk retrofit and allows precise adjustment of height and angle for maximum comfort. This well-designed keyboarding system eliminates awkward reaches and frees up valuable desk space.

Each Ergo Value Keyboard System features a mechanism with a single knob that controls the height and angle of the keyboard platform. The mechanism adjusts 5" below and 1" above the mount point, offers a +- 15 degree tilt range, and moves in and out on a 17" glide track.

If you are one of the millions who spend 2 - 6 hours a day on the computer, it is very important that your keyboard and mouse be positioned correctly. Ergonomists agree that when keying or mousing, your hand, wrist and forearm should be aligned (wrist straight, not bent). A setup where the keyboard or mouse repeatedly forces you to work with your wrist bent is a common cause of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and other repetitive strain injuries. Remember, since you'll probably be using a computer for many years to come, protect yourself against injuries by using the correct equipment, in the correct way.

What Is The Correct Height For Your Keyboard?

  1. Adjust your chair to the correct height (so it makes contact behind the thighs but isn't trying to lift your heels off the floor).
  2. With your arms next to your body, extend your hands out in front of you with your forearm parallel to the floor.
  3. The top of your keyboard should be at the same height as the bottom of your forearms. This will insure your wrists are kept straight while keying.
  4. Also, a common ergonomic mistake to avoid is: don't use the flip-up legs under the back of the keyboard. This causes you to key with your wrist bent back toward your body, and this wrist position places you at a much higher of risk of developing carpal tunnel syndrome
