Straight or Split Keyboard; Which is Correct for You?
Split keyboards aren't always better, or more ergonomic than Straight keyboards. To determine which style of keyboard is best suited to you, perform this simple test. With your arms resting at your sides, extend your hands, and place them on the home row of a straight keyboard. Are your wrists relatively straight, or are they angled?
Straight keyboards typically work best for users that are narrow through the shoulders. Typing on a keyboard with angled keys (if you have narrow shoulders), causes you to hold your elbows
out away from your sides in order to keep their wrists straight. This posture significantly increases the strain in the neck and shoulders.
The Touch Board's compact size along with its built-in touchpad is great for those limited space areas, like the older style keyboard trays & drawers that are only 20" wide. Convenient TouchPad Features
Once you become accustom to the GlidePoint, you will find it is actually quicker and easier to use. You just slide you finger across the pad, and the cursor responds. It senses the slightest touch; you don't have to press down.
- Tap to click - Left "click" simply by tapping your finger on the pad. To Right click use the right button just under the touchpad.
- Drag, draw, highlight - Just double-tap and hold your finger on the pad, or hold the left "click" button as your finger glides.
