this model with a PS/2
connector focuses on the basics, with its own unique and logical key
layout that includes two rows of 5 function keys along the left side of
the keyboard and another 12 function keys stretched across the top. The Avant Stellar keyboard
includes a conveniently large, reverse-L-shaped Enter
key, an oversize Backspace key, an inverted-T design for the cursors
(with the Insert, Delete, Home, End, Page Up, and Page Down buttons
stacked above it). The Avant Stellar was built with those who appreciate quality and those who want a keyboard that will last them a long time.

Weighing in at over 6.5 pounds, the Avant Stellar comes with a solid steel base construction, mechanical ALPS click / tactile key switches. The Avant Stellar comes with 12 function keys across the top as well as an additional 12 function keys on the left side.
Each key can be reprogrammed to represent any key you choose, allowing you to customize your keyboard layout to you specific needs. The most popular customization of the Stellar
is the swapping of the “Ctrl” & “Cap Lock” keys. This moves the
more frequently used “Ctrl” key up where it can be used in combination
with other keys without the usual contortions. The Stellar even provides replacement key caps, and a key puller for these two keys.
The Avant Stellar
also comes with complete Macro programming capabilities. You can
program up to 24 Macros of 72 characters of your choice. You can even
chain Macros together if they are longer than 72 characters. These
Macros can then be assigned to your extra set of function keys as one
touch Macros, or to other keys used with a hot key.
